About Us

Cape Air Virtual (CAV) was founded October 2009 by members of the former Boston Virtual ATC community. CAV has welcomed 100+ pilots into the airline; with pilots logging over 3,000 hours in 3,000+ flights. CAV participates as BVA’s official virtual airline with our operations, hubs, and flights being primarily in the Boston ARTCC on the VATSIM network.
CAV is modelled after the real-world Cape Air airline (Hyannis Air Service, Inc.). Our operations are focused in the northeastern region of the United States, with flights extending into Canada, Cleveland, and Washington, D.C. In 2018, CAV finalized its with United Regional Airlines (a virtual regional airline) and expanded our fleet size to include jet and large turboprop aircraft serving more distant routes.
